The weird thing is that you can only ride the coaster in VR and every thing else while wearing the headset is done in cinema mode. The game is playable either in or out of the VR headset but it’s a mess no matter which way you look at it and let me tell you why that is. This is a game I had high hopes for but I would come to find out that this ride ended in disaster in pretty much every area. Its complexity returns to its native form while giving PC players an enhanced widescreen view for the first time. Players can customize their dream park without all the bugs and glitches that plagued World and Adventure. The re-release is precisely what the franchise needed after years of questionable releases. Re-releasing arguably the best game in the franchise under a different name allows players to revisit the management classic while enjoying it on modern hardware. This ended up being a smart move since the title is held in such high regard with fans. Frontier eventually regained the rights to RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 and released the Complete Edition after erasing Atari from the entire game. The series looked to be on its last leg until RollerCoaster Tycoon 3: Complete Edition came along and blew everyone away. Fans began looking for alternative theme park management games while RollerCoaster Tycoon continued sinking further into a shallow grave. It seemed like the series was starting to fizzle out. The Switch spin-off received harsh criticism from long-time fans due to developers dimming down the management aspects and simplifying its gameplay.
